The Massive WoW Gold Blueprint - What's in it For You?
Making gold in the World of Warcraft isn't difficult at all, but making lots of WoW gold takes a little bit of work. Some people will even tell you that you really need to have a level 70 character so that you can farm this, grind that, and do your dailies (daily quests.)
Most gold guides will tell you much the same thing. Grab your level 70 character and go farm ... whatever. While the info in the guides is good, and you can make plenty of gold with that info, there really is a better way, and no, that way doesn't involve buying gold.
Some people have learned to skip the grind and make use more advanced techniques that will make gold significantly faster. For example, bargains on the Auction House that regularly appear can be bought and resold at a higher price.
Some people have also learned that you don't need 70s to make gold. Start with a dedicated Auction House Mule or Banker. You characters of any level can send all their sellable items to the banker to be sold on the Auction House. That character will handle all the buying and selling for all the higher level characters.
Now take that one step further. There are several places in game where characters can buy low priced limited items which can be resold for large markups. For example, one Professor Thaddeus, at the Darkmoon Faire, occasionally (ok, rarely) sells various gems. You can buy the gems at 12 gold each and some of them sell for as much as five or six times that. This is one of the reasons you'll see people camping the Darkmoon Faire vendors.
Each city has vendors that sell various limited items. Make two or three more alternative characters who will live in these cities and buy these items. The items are shipped to the main banker for resale.
In order to get seed cash for this network you can either have your main character(s) fund it or, if you're just starting, make a character who will learn mining and skinning. That one will level up a bit and collect stacks of skins and ore to sell on the auction house. After a few stacks have sold you will have accumulated a small stash of gold which you can then use to buy low priced items and sell them at a higher price.
This network can also be extended to cross faction trading. Alliance and Horde don't have to kill each other all the time. They can take short breaks and sell stuff to each other, with some very interesting profit potential.
Think of this network as a funnel, or roots feeding a tree. Several low levels buy stuff which is then funneled to the main banker and posted for sale. Your main characters, if you have some, are then freed to spend time raiding, PvPing, leveling or whatever.
If your mains come across a vendor with limited items then they can buy those and ship them off to the banker. If these characters already have the gathering skills then there's nothing stopping them from mining the occasional node, picking a flower, or collecting skins from all the beasts slain while adventuring, but now they don't have to.
The Massive WoW Gold Blueprint uses videos to demonstrate all of the above techniques in great detail, as well as many more, all in addition to teaching you how to become an expert Auction House user.
No longer do your high level characters have to do the work, the network takes care of all the gold generation. As you pick up the tips and tricks along the way you'll find that you're making a lot more gold than you ever could by farming, and you'll be having more fun doing it.
The author has used the techniques in the Massive Gold Blueprint to earn several thousand gold, on three separate servers, most of it using very low level characters. You can do the same.
